photography brings me joy not only as a creative outlet but also as a way to serve others.
It is always a joy when I get to take time understanding others stories and appreciating the small things. My faith as a believer in Christ adds tremendously to the purpose of my work and with over 5 years of professional photography experience, I grow to love the medium more with each photographic encounter. I strive to show moments authentically and find uniquely artistic perspectives for each exposure to reflect the uniqueness of your authentic character and life.
involvement, features & awards
OUR ART, OUR REGION, OUR TIME
This Tea-Toned Cyanotype piece known as Adrift in the Current was displayed in the Walton Arts Center’s 2022 Our ART Exhibition. The exhibition focused on featured pieces by artists working in the Northwest Arkansas region.
photo editor for the threefold advocate
one of my favorite roles from 2020 - 2022 has been working with the writers of John Brown University’s newspaper to get photographs of national, local and campus events to keep others up to date on what is happening.
visual arts foundry
as a member of this organization I have been able to capture photographs of events hosted such as chalktober, brunch at the barn to our annual art awards ceremony.
center for faith and flourishing
through this organization I was first their lecture and event photographer and then their program manager for 2022-2023 school year. I was able to capture content rich talks to bring students + community members current perspectives on ideas, policies or current events as well as redesign their website, get to know students and help run the center.
shards of light journal
I’ve had multiple pieces selected and used in Vol. 2 & Vol. 3 of John Brown University’s Shards of Light Journal.
